Static and dynamic QR codes

Every generator on this site makes a static QR code: the content is written inside the code itself, so it works without us, forever, and nobody has to sign up. The price is that a static code cannot be edited or counted. If what you print is a link, a dynamic QR code stores a short link instead, so you can point it somewhere new after printing and see how many people scanned it.

Which type fits what you share?

Use a link code for a website, menu or form. Use Wi-Fi for guests, a contact card for a business card, WhatsApp for a chat that opens with your message ready, Instagram for your profile, and a Google review link when you want more ratings. Anything that holds a fixed fact, like a network name, is a good fit for static. Anything that may change, like a number or a handle, is a good fit for dynamic.

What every generator here does

All of them run in your browser, so what you type is never sent to our servers. You can change the colors, the shape of the dots, add your logo and pick a size up to 2000 px. PNG is for print and screens, SVG stays sharp at any size. Before you print a batch, scan one with a phone.

QR code types: questions

Which QR code types can I make for free?

Link, text, e-mail, phone, SMS, Wi-Fi, contact card, location and event, plus Pix for Brazil. The pages above start the generator on the right type for WhatsApp, Instagram, Google reviews, business cards and custom designs.

Can I make any of these dynamic?

Link-based types can: a website, WhatsApp, Instagram and Google review link all point to a web address. A free URLHop account turns that address into a short link you can change later. Wi-Fi, contact cards and text hold the data inside the code, so they stay static.

Do these QR codes expire?

A static code does not expire because the information is inside it and does not depend on us. It stops being useful only if the link or data inside stops being valid. A dynamic URLHop code does not expire either, as long as the account exists.

Is it really free, with no account?

Yes. Making and downloading a static QR code costs nothing, needs no account and adds no watermark. An account is only for dynamic codes.
