Your QR code stopped working. Now what?

It happens more than it should, and usually at the worst moment.

The free trial ended

Many "free" QR code generators switch your code off after a trial and only turn it back on if you subscribe. Your menu, your sign and your flyers are held hostage.

The website changed

New online store, new page, new address. The printed QR code still points to the old one, which now shows an error page.

Time to reprint

Flyers, stickers, menus, signs, packaging and business cards in the bin. It costs money, it costs time, and it leaves a bad impression on everyone who tried to scan.

When someone scans your code and lands on an error, they don't blame the QR code generator. They blame your business. URLHop exists so that never happens.

How it works

Three steps. Nothing technical.

1

Paste your link

Your website, menu, catalog, booking page or social profile. Pick an easy name if you like, such as urlhop.me/joes-menu.

2

Download the QR code and use it anywhere

Print it on menus, signs, packaging or business cards. Or copy the short link and share it on social media, in emails and in chats.

3

Something changed? Update the destination

Open your dashboard, paste the new address and save. The same QR code now takes people to the right place, with no reprinting.

Everything a QR code should be

Easy to create, easy to change, built to last.

Never expires

Your QR codes and links have no expiry date, not even on the free plan. They only stop if you want them to.

Change it without reprinting

Update the destination as often as you need. What's printed stays the same and keeps working.

Actually free

The Free plan is free forever, not a 14-day trial in disguise. And we don't ask for a credit card to get started.

See how many people visited

Track visits by day, country, device type and referring site, and find out what's working.

All your links on one page

Build a link-in-bio page for Instagram, TikTok and your other profiles, with your photo, your buttons and a look that fits you.

Straight to the destination, no ads

People who scan go straight to your page. No ads and no waiting screen in between.

For anyone who prints, shares and wants zero headaches

Restaurants and bars

Stick the menu QR code on the table once and update dishes and prices whenever you need, without replacing a single sticker.

Real estate agents

One sign, many listings. When a property sells, point the QR code to the next one.

Weddings and events

Print invitations months ahead and decide later where the QR code goes: directions, RSVP or the photo album.

Packaging and retail

Packaging sits on shelves for years. Change the product page, the manual or the promotion without redoing the artwork.

Print shops and agencies

Give clients QR codes that won't come back as complaints. On the Business plan, your whole team works in the same dashboard.

Creators and small businesses

One page with all your links for your bio, and a QR code on your business card that never goes out of date.

Who's behind URLHop

A link is only as reliable as the company looking after it.

An IBLabs product

URLHop is built by IBLabs, the company behind PentestCheck, a security testing platform for businesses. Security is part of our everyday work.

Our promise: links that don't expire

We never switch links off because of time, because you didn't subscribe, or because your monthly analytics allowance ran out. A link stops only if you set an expiration date, deactivate or delete it, or if it's used for scams.

Privacy, for real

Our analytics don't store the IP address of the people who click. We only use essential cookies, no ad trackers, and we never sell data. You can ask to access, correct or delete your data at any time.

Protection against scams

We check destinations to block phishing links, and anyone can report a suspicious link.

Check service availability any time on our public status page. →

For teams and developers

When URLHop becomes part of how you work, it keeps up.

REST API and webhooks

Create and edit links, fetch QR codes, read analytics and receive real-time events. Public OpenAPI reference. From Starter.

Redirect rules

Different destinations by country or device, plus A/B tests (Business). Temporary (302, default) or permanent (301) redirects.

Exportable analytics

Raw event export as CSV (Pro) or JSON via the API (Business), with all-time history on Business.

Teams

Up to 10 people on Business, with owner, admin and member roles and an activity log.

SSO and SLA

Single sign-on with OpenID Connect (Okta, Microsoft Entra ID, Google Workspace and more) and a 99.9% redirect uptime SLA on Enterprise.

Redirects run on a global network, separate from the dashboard: if the dashboard is under maintenance, your links stay up.

Frequently asked questions

Do URLHop QR codes expire?

No. QR codes and short links made with URLHop have no expiry date, including on the free plan. They only stop working if you set an expiration date or a click limit, deactivate or delete the link, or if it's blocked for being used in a scam.

Can I change where a QR code goes after it's printed?

Yes. A URLHop QR code points to a short link, and you can change that link's destination in your dashboard whenever you like. Anyone who scans the same printed code is sent to the new address, usually within a minute, with no reprinting.

Is URLHop really free?

Yes. The Free plan is free forever, not a trial. It includes 100 short links with QR codes, 1 link-in-bio page, 10,000 tracked clicks per month and 30 days of analytics history.

What happens if I go over the free plan limits?

Your links and QR codes keep working. If you use up your 10,000 tracked clicks for the month, only analytics recording pauses until next month, and we email you at 80% and 100%. Once you reach 100 links, delete one or upgrade to create new ones.

Do I need a credit card to sign up?

No. A free account only needs an email address and a password. You're asked for a card only if you choose a paid plan.

How do I see how many people scanned my QR code?

In your URLHop dashboard, every link shows its total visits broken down by day, country, device type and referring site. Each QR code scan counts as a visit to the link. To compare print with social media, create a separate link for each.

Is my data safe?

URLHop analytics don't store the IP address of the people who click; they record only country, device type, referring site and date. We use essential cookies only, we never sell data, and payments go through a specialist processor, so card details never touch our servers. You can ask to access, correct or delete your data at any time.

What's the difference between a static and a dynamic QR code?

A static QR code stores the final address inside the pattern itself, so it can't be changed and can't tell you how many people scanned it. A dynamic QR code stores a short link you control, so you can change the destination after printing and track visits. Every QR code made with URLHop is dynamic.

Who's behind URLHop?

URLHop is a product of IBLabs, the company that also builds PentestCheck, a security testing platform. IBLabs runs URLHop with a public commitment that links and QR codes don't expire.
